Twenty exceptional students out of a pool of 420 participants in an examination organized by The House of Emmanuels Foundation in Abeokuta, Ogun State, have been granted scholarships that cater to their educational needs comprehensively. This support encompasses their school uniforms, bags, and all essential materials required throughout their senior secondary school journey, including their West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams while the overall best student received a brand new HP laptop inclusive.
The driving force behind this noble initiative, Oluwachegoun Emmanuel, the Founder of The House of Emmanuels Foundation, emphasized that this act underscores the foundation’s unwavering dedication to advancing education, promoting financial literacy, and facilitating vocational training, all aimed at fostering the progress of our community.
“At the heart of The House of Emmanuels, we have a profound mission and a clear objective. We firmly believe in empowerment, education, financial literacy, and overall well-being, among other values,” declared Oluwachegoun Emmanuel. “Out of the 420 students who participated in the examination, we have chosen the top 20. We are committed to shouldering all their educational expenses, right from school uniforms and bags to everything essential for their journey from SSS1 through to the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The student who emerges as the overall best will also receive a prestigious award.”
Adding her perspective to the occasion, Motunrayo Adijat-Adeleye, President of the Rotary Club of Abeokuta, underscored the significance of supporting brilliant students whose parents may encounter difficulties in meeting their educational expenses. She passionately encouraged the scholarship recipients to remain diligent and devoted, cultivating a spirit of excellence that would inspire sponsors to continue their invaluable support.
